As a result of the recent fire at Taumaranui it is reported that the South British Insurance Company has withdrawn all risks from that centre. Mr W. Hazard, of Queen Street, Auckland, whose advertisement appears in this issue, has compiled a very neat and attractive catalogue of guns and sporting requisites which should be.of interest to shooting men at the present time, and will be sent free on application. The stock, which is most complete, is well described in detail, and purchasers can select any special line from the many described therein, resting assured that as all country orders have special supervision, country clients can purchase as well as if they attended in person at the store. Special mention is made of the Browning Automatic Shot Gun, which has given general satisfaction on account of accuracy of sighting, and rapidity of discharge.
