OTOROHANGA.
A very successful concert was held in the hall on Friday, 26th, in aid of the Anglican Church site. The handsome sum of £9 was taken at the door, which will be a substantial help to the funds. Mr Johnson acted as Chairman, while Miss Johnson played the accompaniments in her usual efficient manner. The following programme was rendered to an appreciative audience : Overture, band selection, Gramaphone; I song, " Rainbow," Miss L. Johnson; song, "In the Cathedral." Miss Prentice ; song, "Three for Jack," Mr Burchell; recitation, " The Curfew Bell," Miss L. Taylor; -song, "Sunshine and Rain," Mrs Lyall; song, "If the man in the Moon was a Coon," Miss Jennings ; selection, " The Whistling Coon," Gramaphone; song, "You 1 show me your Slate," Miss B. Bur--1 nand ; song, " Dcreen," Mr Johnson ; overture (piano and violin), " Scenes that are Brightest," Masters J, and H. Burnand; song, "Queen of the Earth," Mr Burchell; song, " The Flight of Ages," Mrs Lyall; selection, "Too Many," Gramaphone; song, "I'm trying so hard to forget You," Miss Jennings; song, "The Warrior Bold," Mr Johnson; selection, "My Nightingale," Gramaphone.
