MANUNUI.
Cricket is over, and as far as Manunui has been concerned, the season has been disastrous, the local club only scoring one win, which is not a great success, but we are all hoping for better luck next time. -On Sunday last a football practice was held : Bush v. Mill. However, I noticed the teams were pretty well mixed. A meeting is being called for next Saturday, the 13th inst., to wind up the cricket club for the year, and to form a football club for the coming season. Matters in connection with the school, are dragging along in a very slow manner. So far, nothing definite has been received from the Board of Education, in regard to shifting the present school from Piriaka to here. It is rumoured that we are to have an up to date bakery erected in Man-' unui, but I do not know if there is any truth in it. Let us hope it is so. There has been an enquiry for a place to build a boarding house on, so some one has faith in the place going ahead.
