TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—" Would-be Ratepayer " again hits the nail on the head, and repeats the arguments which have already appeared in your columns. But why form a Town Board for the purpose of securing an alteration in the tenure of the township sections? We have a Vigilance Committee, who are supposed to be urging the matter, and it should be impressed upon the committee, the necessity of urging and pushing on this alteration and to decline to accept any refusal of the proposition. Of one thing we may be sure, that nothing conducive to the satisfactory solution of the Native land difficulty will happen while the present head of the Department remains in office. —I am, etc., Another Would-be Ratepayer.
