HANGATIKI.

Last Saturday evening Hangatiki station presented a very busy scene. r>* A special train brought twelve trucks of sheep for local farmers. It Ins been found that sheep do very well in this district, so next season the output of wool should be considerably increased. The improvements on the Waitomo road are nearly completed. It is to be hoped we may now have at least a month's fine weather that the fillings may settle down before winter. -The recent floods caused some considerable damage to the roads, but most of this has now been repaired ; otherwise the district suffered slightly.
