The bride was given away by her brother-in-law (Mr G. Butcher), and wore a beautiful cream taffidef dress trimmed_ with cream satin, and also wore a veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely shower bouquet. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Maud and Gladys Hughes. They wore white muslin .dresses over orange coloured satin, and wore gold brooches the gift of the bridegroom. The bridgroom was attended by Mr D. J. Adamson as best man. After the ceremony concluded, the guests were entertained by the bride's brother-in-law (Mr Geo Butcher) to a sumptuous wedding breakfast, and fully forty of theyoung couples friends sat down to do justice to all the good things provided. At night all assembled at the Tiroa Hall, where a dance was held to commemorate the first wedding celebrated in Tiroa. Mr Adamson acted as M.C. During the intervals songs were rendered by local vocalists, and all will join with me in wishing the youngcouple every happiness, and a prosperous future.
