Dr. Barron arrived at Te Kuiti during the week, and is at present making a tour of the out districts. Mr F. G. Mills, representing the A.M.P. Society, is at present making a tour of the King Country. Mr Northcroft, |S.M., is at present seriously indisposed, and his work for the present is being undertaken by Mr Dyer, S.M., of Auckland. Mr Reid, late of Palmerston North accompanied by Mrs Reid, arrived at Te Kuiti on Saturday last, to take charge of the Oparure Native School. Mr Wesley Spragg passed through the King Country on Wednesday, en route to Auckland. It is Mr Spragg's intention to make a tour of the King Country shortly in connection with the butter industry. Mrs and Miss Melling returned from Rotorua on Wednesday, after a fortnight's holiday in the Thermal region. Mr Melling, who met with an injury before leaving Te Kuiti, also returned, but is still incapacitated. Mr Shirley, Government Dairy Ex-. pert, visited Aria last week in connection with the start of the proposed dairy factory in the district. Mr Shirley was favourably impressed with the prospects and resources of the locality, and gave the settlers much useful advice and information with regard to the proposed venture.
