MR JENNINGS AT TE KUITI.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—As I have been a staunch supporter of the present Government for years past, I would like to know who had the organisation of the social held in Te Kuiti on Monday last in hand. It was quite by accident that I heard that a social was .to take place, and would have willingly added my quota towards the expenses of same, but no one approached me on the subject. I have heard £of several other electors who would have willingly attended if they had been asked, and not having the necessary "cheek" to attend without an invitation, had, for looks sake, to stay away and await the production of your paper for full details of the proceedings. If a committee was in existence, why was there not invitations sent out to all and sundry ?—I am, etc., ELECTOR.
