The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., report as follows : On February 7th we held our usual fortnightly sale at Hamilton, and yarded a smaller muster of cattle than usual. Buyers were present for store cattle, and many more could -have been placed at satisfactory prices. Fat steers, £7 12s to £8 6s; light weights, £5 15s to £6 is ; fat cows and heifers, £4 15s to £5 I2s 6d; fresh cows and heifers, £2 lOs to £3 5s ; 12 to 18-mcnth /..-:•;,. £2 js 6d; 2%-

year steers, £4 15s ; quiet 12 to 10month heifers, £1 15s to £1 18s ; this season's calves, 19s to 28s ; springing heifers, £4 15s to £5 lOs ; fat wethers, 19s ; fat ewes, 16s sd; pigs : weaners, 8s 6d to 13s ; slips, 19s. On Friday we held our annual Ngaruawahia Sheep Fair, everything being sold at the hammer at satisfactory prices. Full-mouthed ewes 14s 3d to 17s ; aged ewes, 8s 6d to 13s ; 2-tooth wethers, 16s 6d ; fat forward wethers, 16s 9d to 17s ; fat and forward lambs, I2s 6d to 13s 4d ; store lambs, 9s 6d to lis 9d; cull lambs, 8s 3d ; shorn lambs, 9s 3d to 10s. At Te Awamutu on Saturday, calves made 17s 6d to 26s ; weaner pigs, 6s 6d to I2s; slips, 13s 6d to 18s.
