Te Roa Races.

The above races took on Saturday last, when there was a"' fair attendance of spectators, about 200 people having congregated to witness the racing. During the day light showers fell, but not sufficient to stop the racing, which was entered into by the different competitors with keen interest. Appended are the results of the different events: — Hurdle Race. —Kaipara I, Waitangi 2. Both horses fell, and after a hard battle, resulted as above. Flying Stakes. —Te Toitoi I. Also started: Mangatia, Taranaki and Rauriri. Won easily. Te Roa Cup.—Korari I, Kaipara 2, Mataroa 3. These were the only starters. Maiden Race. —Mangatia I, Taranaki 2' Te Toitoi 3. Consolation Race. Mataroa I, Waitangi 2.
