NOTICE is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Waitomo , County Council will be held in Mr Ernest Kerr's Commercial Room, at Te Kuiti, on Monday, the 14th day of January, 1907, at II a.m., to make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1906, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1907, namely, A General Rate of one half-penny in the pound, made under the provisions of The Rating Act, 1894, on the rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the County, on the basis of the capital value. A copy of the above special order has been deposited at the County Office, Otorohanga, and may be inspected during office hours. JOHN ORMSBY, County Clerk. Otorohanga, 18/12/06. WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Waitomo County Council, held at Te Kuiti on 19th day of November, 1906, it was resolved by way of Special Order that the Waitomo County Council make a by-law, under the provisions of the Counties Act, 1894, the object and purport of which by-laws are as -follows : " To regulate heavy traffic over roads and bridges ; also, regulate the movements of and licensing of traction engines and vehicles plying for hire, licensing of Pedlars and Hawkers and Billiard Rooms, and penalties for breaches of the By-laws." The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation to a Special Meeting of the Council, to be held at Te Kuiti. on the 14th day of January, 1907, at II a.m., in Mr Ernest Kerr's Commercial Room, at which meeting the day of the coming into force of the By-laws will be fixed. A copy of the Special Order and By-laws is deposited at the Office of . the Council at Otorohanga, where the same will lie open for public inspection during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held.
