• 0—- — . At the recent meeting of the School Committee it was decided to postpone the school picnic until after the midsummer holidays. It was at first intended to hold the picnic at the break-ing-up of the school for Christmas. The settlers of the district have also decided to hold a working bee for the purpose of clearing the school ground, in order to make more room for the horses which carry the children to school.
Shearing is now in full swing, and most of the sheep-owners are getting good clips. However, the recent wet weather has somewhat retarded operations.
