Supposed Murder.
Weddington, October I. W. H. Rennie, schoolmaster at Papakaio, nearOamaru, was found dead in his bed yesterday. He had been shot through the head, and appearances point to* murder, as the house was ransaekyd. NO FURTHER PARTICULARS. October 5. No further particulars are to hand to throw any light on the murder of Mr Rennie at Papapakaio, on Tuesday night. Inspector Gillies and Detectives Bishop and Cox left this morning for Oamarti to i.naka jenquiVies in the case. Stib-Irfsptfetur Gree'p, of Timaru, has also been instructed to proceed to Oamaru to assist in solving the mystery. * SHOT W^filLE - SLEEPING.
