Mistaken Identity.

New Plymouth, April 25 A man, supposed to be Ellis, who is suspected of murdering Collinson, at Te Awaiti, was arrested at Urenui on Saturday by Constable Beattie. He says his name is David Watt, also that he worked with a survey party in Wairarapa, where he knew Ellis. In appearance he agrees with the Police description of Ellis. Later. Man arrested as Ellis has been recognised by officers of the Survey Department and T. McKenzie, Crown Lands Commissioner, as David Watt, for 12 years in the Survey Department.
