CONTROLLED BY A TRUST. Wellington, March 7 Southern millers’ ring raised flour to £8 10s a ton, f.o.b. Lyttelton, to make up for loss in underselling in North. Members of the Master Bakers’ Association have pledged themselves, under a penalty, not to do business with millers outside the combination. 4 Post’ says the combination of Bakers’ Union with the Millers’ Trust possesses considerable power, practically fixing the price farmers shall take for their wheat and what the public shall pay for the bread.
