Hemp is reported dull in the London market, but as £35 to £3B are prices quoted the matter is not dispiriting. Cheese very firm at 51s in London. The London mutton market is firm, prices for Canterbury and Dunedin having advanced onesixteenth of a penny per lb. Lamb, too, is in good demand, s|d being the quotation for the Canterbury brand. Cabbages: 2/6 to 3/6 per sack. Green Peas : 3d to 6d per peek. Tomatoes : 3/- to 4/- per half-case, choice lots. Eggs : 1/1 to 1/2 per doz. Butter : Dairy, 74d to 8d ; separator, Bld. Poultry: Fowls 2/9, ducks 3/6 to '4/-, per pair.
