Ploughboy is descended from that great horse Rosebery, sold for 1500 guineas, who was by the greatest horse of the century, Prince of Wales, sold when 1.8 years old for 900 guineas, his stud fee being £4O a mare. Ploughboy is a dapple bay, standing 10 hands 2 inches hi height, has plenty of bone, and is a picture of quality. He has an exceptionally quiet temper, and is a splendid ■worker.
