Presidential Election.
WASHINGTON, Nov 7
McKinley has been reelected by a larger electoral vote than in 1896, although with smaller popular pluralities. Generally speaking, the polling, which was largest on record, was orderly. Returns indica'e that McKinley carried 29 States, including New York (despite Tammany) and Nebraska, and Bryan 16 States. Estimated McKinley will receive 292 votes and Bryan 156. At Caseyville, Indiana, 200 shots were exchanged, 1 American was killed, 1 American and 7 Austrians and Italians wounded. A Democrat was killed at Lick Creek, Illinois.
