In lact the Cheviot farmers are always large buyers in other markets of sheep tor fattening purposes, and it is obvious that Cheviot is the natural market tor tne Kaikoura surplus stock. The only difficulty is the Waiau river; but, pending the election oi the bridge, for which plans have been prepared and tenders will no doubt shortly be called for its completion, arrangements can always be made for carting sheep across in wagon, at Parnassus at very low rates, and some thousands of sheep have been crossed in this manner during the past season. AUCTION SALES Are held in my Yards, Mackenzie, every fortnight during the busy season, and 1 have ample paddocking accommodation always available at the lowest possible scale of chargee. I trust, therefore, that the Sheeptarmers of Kaikoura District may see the advantage ot sending consignments this forthcoming season to test our maiket here, and 1 can assure them that no efforts will be wauling on my p.it to obtain most satisiactuiy results, with prompt returns, for any stock pia.eu in my bauds tor sale.
