Denunciation of Kruger. SEIZURE OF DOCUMENTS URGED, LONDON, Sept 26 In speech in Legislative Assembly Gordon Spring stated that Kruger was not only a capitalist but a thief. He had stolen moneys of the Republic. Sprigg said he hoped Portuguese authorities at Delagoa would compel him to disgorge the spoil. English newspapers are urging that it is Portugal’s duty to secure State documents now in Kruger’s hands. Frustration and Capture. Attempt to destroy railway at Roodetaal Spruit, Orange Colony, was defeated. A waggon load of dynamite was captured. Effort to Capture De Wet. VILJOEN TRYING TO JUNCTION. Strong flying column under Colonel De Lisle has left Pretoria in pursuit of De Wet. Each trooper has 2 horses, and doable teams accompany guns, transports, and Cape carts. Viljoen, with a commando, followed Selati railway intending to effect junction with Christian De Wet. Destruction of Munitions. Boers sent 50 trucks of ammunition to Delagoa before surrendering. They damaged an immense quantity of ammunition, waggens and stores before flight. War Matters Generally. Kruger yielded to request of the Portuguese not to destroy Komati railway bridge. Locomotives found at Barberton are valued at half a million. Twelve guns, majority damaged, found at Hectorspruit. Whole railway rolling stock of the late Transvaal Govt is spread for 8 miles along Selati railway line. The roiling stock has been captured, nearly all is in good condition. The Portuguese officials at Delagoa Bay have sent emissaries to the Boers urging them to yield.
