British General Election.
LONDON, Sept 24 Wason, Member for Selwyn in 1896-99, contests Orkney-Shetland as a Unionist. R. Vaile, another New Zealander, contests Eccleslield division of Sheffield as a Radical. Lords Durham and Sandwich, who joined Unionists at time ot Home Rule split, have rejoined Liberal Party. Rosebery's programme reiers to the necessity lor temperance legislation, providing for better housing of the working classes, and making iearless reforms in the War Office.
