Waiau Bridge.

The following telegram was received by us on Saturday from Waiau : The Waiau bridge will be closed against all traffic on Monday, but space will be left under the barricade to allow of sheep crossing. The Council will not, however, be responsible in the event of an accident. Timber for the renewal of the superstructure is to be ordered from Australia immediately. The Council intends claiming a proportion of the cost from all local bodies interested, including Kaikoura.
