LONDON, March 6 War Office authorities have cancelled the appointment held by A. F. Calvert as Hon. Colonel of the West Australian regiment. During a recent trial for libel it transpired that Calvert wished to obtain an Hon. Colonelcy in a volunteer regiment for political purposes, and that it was obtained.
