With the exception of Topsy Turvey, all the horses nominated for the Handicaps on Boxing Day have accepted. A 2-mile Trot in harness, for £5 aside, between Mr 11. Rainbow’s blk g Marco Pola and Mr A. Close's bm Daisy is to take place on Boxing Day, either before the first event on the programme orjater in the day. Christchurch Racing Club meeting, Monday : Hurdles, D. Rutherford’s Barnardo 1, Empire 2, Lady Sockburn 3; Maiden, Pepita 1, Miss Spec 2; Racing Club Handicap, Magazine 1, Busybody 2, Georgia Sharp 3 ; Nursery Handicap, St John 1, Alcestis 2; Welter, Lord of Misrule 1, Pepita 2; Flying, Foresight 1, Neroli 2. P. Bulter’s horses ran 3 thirds. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec 18 P. Butler, wellknown racing man, was admitted to the hospital at an early hour this morning suffering from a wound in the throat, supposed to be self-inflicted. The case is not a serious one, and Butler is pulling round.
