Heavy Rainfall.
NELSON, Aug 9
Severe storm broke over the city at 6 this evening. Lightning was very vivid, and continued for long time, hail and rain accompanying. Within an hour the town was flooded, the downpour being phenomenal. In some houses the water was 2 feet deep. Damage is considerable.
