Land Board.
From the Marlborough Times of Tuesday we elip the following items of business of local interest transacted by the Land Board : It was resolved to ask Government to include Native Reserve A. Kaikoura, under the new Lands for Settlement Act, as frontages and roads through it were urgently needed for saw-.uill and settlement purposes and that compensation for the lands taken for the above purposes might be made to the Natives when the adjoining Crown lands are surveyed, out of such lands. It was resolved to demand a sum of £1 10s from a settler at Kaikoura for cutting timber without a license.
