IV OTICE is hereby given that the Kaikoura County Council, in pursuance of the provisions of the ‘ Rating Act, 1882,’ and the seveial Acts amending the same, will, at a meeting to be held on the 16th day of June, 1894,, proceed to make and levy a ‘ General Rate ’ of three farthings in the one pound (£1) on all the rateable property now appearing on the Valuation Rolls for the several Ridings within the County of Kaikoura. Such rate will be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1894, and ending ou the 31st day of March, 1895, and payable in one sum at the Council Offices on Wednesday the 11th day of July, 1864, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. By order of the Council, CALEB SMITH, County Clerk. Kaikoura, May 25tb, 1894. ‘ The Rate Book will be open for inspection at the Court House, Kaikoura, from the second to the fifteenth days of June, 1894, inclusive.’ ‘ Persons who may have sold or bought properties since the last rate was levied are required to give notice to the County Clerk before the Ist June, 1894, according to sec. 10, Rating Act Amendment, 1893.'
