"[Vr OTICE is hereby given that the ll Kaikoura County Council, in pursuance of the provisions of the ‘ Rating Act, 1882,’and tbe several Acts amending the same, will, at a meeting to be held on the 16th day of June, 1894, proceed to make and levy a ‘ General Rate ’ of three farthings (?d) in the one pound (£1) on all the rateable property now appearing on the Valuation Rolls for the several Ridings within tbe County of Kaikoura. Sucli rate will be for the period coniineuciug on tbe first day of April, 1894, and ending on tbe 31st day of March, 1895, and payable in one sum at tbe Council Offices on Wednesday the 11th day of July, 1894, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. By order of the Council, CALEB SMITH, County Clerk. Kaikoura, May 35tb, 1894. ‘The Rate Book will be open for inspection at the Court House, Kaikoura, from tbe second to the fifteenth days of June, 1894, inclusive.’ ‘ Persons who may have sold or bought properties since the last rate was levied are required to give notice to the County Clerk before the Ist June, 1894, according to sec. 10, Rating Act Amendment, 1893.’ Kaikoura Sawmill.
