PERTH (W.A.), May 20 Fever is assuming alarming proportions on Murchison goldfields. SIDNEY, May 21 Agent General for N. S. Wales wires that Imperial Govt does not feel justified in pressing more than £2500 as amount of first claim in Costa Rica Packet case. Shearers’ Conference closed. It is understood letter sent to Pastoralists Union, Queensland, stating that if
Conference promised some time ago was not held by July Ist, the Union would have to take responsibility for serious results which may follow. Shearers profess willingness to submit either to a Conference, arbitration or conciliation.
