PORT CHALMERS, April .30 The s.s. Invercargill arrived here at 2 p.m. yesterday, after landing search party for men reported in a destitute state on West Coast. There are 5 men, with 2 dogs, in search of the missing people. Searchers have 14 days’ provisions. Sarah Ann Mary, with cargo of wheat from Lyttelton for Bluff, put in here with loss of whole of her sails, which were blown to ribbons on 23rd inst., when about 25 miles east of Bluff. INVERCARGILL, April 27 Oyster cutters Alarm, Annie and Deveron wrecked during storm on Tuesday morning in Caroline Bay, Ruapeka Island. Two of the Annie’s crew drowned.
