CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday Messbs Pyne & Co report on Wednesday’s market as follows: There .was a very small entry of store sheep. Values for young sheep are improving, there is a good demand for twotooths, at from 10s to Us, but old ewes and lambs are still neglected.- A moderate entry of fat sheep, the sale for which opened firm, and for freezers continued good all through the market. Crossbred wethers sold up to 13s; merino wethers up to 9s 6d ; crossbred ewes up to 13s. There was only a medium entry of fat lambs, and the quality was poor. Prime freezers sold up to Us6d; inferior sorts from 7s 6d to 9s. Fat cattle were in good supply. The demand was not quite so firm, but suitable weights of good quality are worth 24s per loolbs.
