WEDDING.
A few days since St Michael's Church; Mt Fyffe road, was the scene of ad interesting social event. This was the marriage of Mr W. D, Smith’s third son, (j&ristopher, to Miss Mary Harnett utiooe- dlyMrs James fttlr tjohfi Harnett; senr. The bri<D wo/n a very handsome lavdnder gbwi(./ a pretty wreath of orange blossoms, nnd a .very ornate veil. MisS Mary A. Smith, sinter of the bridegroom, acted as chief bridesmaid, while, Mr William Smith, A younger brother of tbe “ happy man.’’ was the groomsman. A large number were present in the Church to witrtesd the ceremony; which was performed by the Rev Father Keegan. Mrs H. Mackld presided at the organ in a most efficient manner, her contributions, including a beautiful wedding march In the evening a very merry party assembled at Sea View, the residence Of Mr W. D; Smith, the happiness of the newly wedded pair beiilg warmly pledged. The esteem of friends was expressed in a very befitting manner, in the numerous presents made Mr and Mrs Chris. Smith, to whom we tender our best wishes.
