A piece of pointed whalebone or finewood is nice to clean out corners. Wash your window with sponge and polish with tissue paper. To take spots of paint off wood, lay a thick coating of lime and soda mixed together over it, letting it stay twentyfour hours ; then wash off with warm water, and the spot will disappear. Grained wood should be washed with tea, and then, after being wiped dry, rubbed wtth linseed oil.
