HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

The usual monthly meeting of the Hospi al Committee was held at the office of* Mv W. M'Lean, on Monday evening last. Present : Messrs Oxley (clmiv) Connolly, Tiibrook, Wise and M'Lean. The Medical Officers' Report was read and received, also memorandum from the Warder. The Treasurer reported having; received during the month from all sources £1/55 14s 6d. Mr Wise gave notice that he would move at the next meeting, " That owing I to the 3mall attendance of members of the Committee, the Visiting Committee for tho future be appointed from those present." Proposed by Mr Oxley; " That members of the Hospital Committee wait on the County Council at the next meeting to endeavour to obtain an increased subsidy." seconded by Mr Wise, and carried. Tho i following were appointed < the Visiting Committee for i tho current month : Messrs Oxley, Wise, and Tilbrnnk. Mr Connolly gavo notice that at the next meeting he would moye " That the various mining companies be requested to stop sixpence per week from ouch man's wages for the purpose of supporting tho Hospital."
