STRIKE COMMITTEE DELEGATES.
Every union involved in a strike and having representation on a Central Strike Committee composed of delegates from several unions lias the right of instructing its delegate to bring any matter it thinks fit before the committee. If this principle is not observed a Central Committee is a farce.
Any individual unionist under such control conditions has the right to move a motion of instruction to his.union delegate. But above all “ rights ” is the necessity for a continuous current of thought passing between the outer fringe and the centre of control. Without this co-operation there are conditions favourable to a destruction of solidarity, a stampede, and a collapse of the strike.
