WELLINGTON ACTIVITIES.
KEEPING THE SCAB JOHNS BUSY.
(Special to “ 1.U.”)
Things are still moving here in Wellington. We expect to be able to form a local union inside the jail when a few more of us get shot in. More aggressive tactics* and vigorous picketing is being advised. We chased some specials down Taranaki Street, and when they returned with about two hundred reinforcements they found nothing, as their attention was attracted elsewhere.
Attempts are being made to stampede workers back by ail kinds of subterfuge, including mythical partnerships. ISTo results so far worth mentioning. An individual, a turner, who was making batons in the premises that were burnt, has not been able to sleep (on account of a guilty conscience) since the incident.
A monster demonstration takes place on Thursday. Solidarity and Guerrilla tactics are winning here. —Pedro.
