CAB GOES ON STRIKE.

A highly amusing “ accident ” occurred near the Trades Hall on Tuesday, at 4.30. One of the old four-wheeled cabs that have been dug up since the trams stopped, was on its way to Ponsonby with some women passengers. Nearly opposite the Trades HaM the wheels came off, and the fares jumped out. Mounted police were soon on the scene, but only to find a laughing crowd carrying the cab to the side of the street. The incident could not have been timed better.
