CITIZENS OF PETONE.

The citizens of Petone, an industrial suburb of Wellington, held an enthusiastic meeting, to support the strike, on Tuesday. Fellow-Worker Bill Parry, and others, addressed the meeting, and amidst enthusiastic cheering the following resolution was carried unanimously: — “ That this meeting of Petone citizens, after reading the masters’ case in the press, and hearing the workers’ side from the accredited speakers, is of the opinion that the masters, in seeking to compel the workers to register under the Arbitration Court, are guilty of the most unjustifiable and unwarranted tyranny, and so calls upon the Government to give effect to the proposals and demands of the workers’ organisation.”
