BATON BRIGADES WANTED.
We have heard much of citizen, and other, armies; and of baton brigades for bludgeoning the workers back into subjection. We have a strong suspicion that bluecoats, farmers, and “ citizens ” would cut a much less aggressive figure* if they had to meet men as well armed as themselves. The formation of baton brigades of workers has been known to bring something approaching a “ square deal.”
