"WO ODEN SHOE” SUGGESTED
With rumours of the formation of scab unions, and of the organising of bonehead farmers for scabbing purposes; with the rattling of police batons and talk of “ citizen” calling back of naval boats, etc., the suggestions of Sabotage, from down South, are very timely. Already some of the smaller unions of workers have passed resolutions expressing their willingness to scab. There is every prospect of Solidarity from the larger basic industry men ; but these small bodies, though not important themselves, may be factors in weaken-
ing the general strike. Every group of workers, however, has its militants, and the tactics generally considered good in such circumstances is cautious, but searching, Sabotage. Travelling rebels in the country, too, may find it desirable to see that scabby farmers are not too long away from home for fear crops, etc., may rot. This decentralisation of the enemy’s forces, including police, etc., may influence the final result. Tissue bags of cayenne, if dexterously handled, are not well received by prancing police horses.
