On Boring from Within
w Much rubbish is talked about “boring from within.” The average union meets once in 2 weeks, the meeting lasts 2 hours, the Secretary usually occupies 45 minutes, the Chairman 15 minutes, unimportant details take up half-an-hour, points of order 15 minutes,—-and by the time the borer gets in on the last 15 minutes, the bulk of the meeting has gone out to bend its collective elbow before closing time.
