BOYS FIGHTING CONSCRIPTION
A handful of men —you could pack them in a room 15ft. by 15ft. —govern N.Z, They are of the Master Class and are trying to force Conscription on this country. That class owns N.Z., but won't fight for it. They want your boys to do the dirty work for them. They have decided to grab the boys and train them to shoot work-ing-men's sons of other countries and to shoot YOU when you strike for some of the product of your toil.
Many boys have meekly submitted to a training in the art of wholesale murder, proving that they haven’t half the spunk of the Passive Resisters ’ Union boys. Others, deceived by the glamour, prospect of a uniform, etc., have taken the oath, but now regret it, for they have discovered that a soldier is not a man, not even a machine—only part of one.
BOOST “THE REPEAL.” the organ of the Plucky Rebels’ Union , the boys who are taking direct action to get this imposition removed. They are agitating and going to jail, and they are publishing, by voluntary effort, a monthly journal—the Repeal —a well-writ-ten, courageous and neatly-got-up little monthly. Boost the Repeal, and help the lads to drive the imported militarist agitators out of this country. Break down Conscription and their job’s gone. Take away their job and they’ll soon go. It can be done.
