I.W.W Claim.
We dare” claim this for the I.W.W. as a whole: that it is based on something more than a paper and ink preamble; that it is revolutionary in spirit as well as in lipservice ; that its efforts are directed towards complete rank-and-file control; that it is not blighted by the politician and the job-hunter; that wherever it takes root it calls forth that latent spirit of rebellion and encourages that self-reliance in the individual member which are so essential to victory. Dare any labour organisation established in New Zealand claim all. or even one of. these attributes ?
Are you a genuine “ red ?” Then you arc* an internationalist, and might do worse* than become a regular subscriber to Solidarity or the Industrial Worker , or both; you would then be in touch with the progress of the Labour movement in America, the land of big things and big labour fights. Solidarity • (eastern organ of the 1.W.W.), P.O. Drawer 622, Newcastle, Pa., U.S. America. Industrial Worker (western organ of the 1.W.W.), Box 2129, Spokane, Wash., U.S. America. Both weekly. Yearly subscription, 6s. 3d. each.
A vague rumour has reached us, through roundabout channels, to the effect that some “ revolutionary” labour officials (not named) have uttered a threat to smash the N.Z. I.W.W. We cheerfully invite each and all of these I.W.W. smashers to get a—head, they’ll need to if they are to succeed, for we’re growing.
