Importation Of Dried Fruits Licences for the importation of currants and raisins from Australia, equivalent in each case to 110 per cent of the seventh period licences for such goods, will be granted on application. advises the Collector of K ’Customs at Christchurch. The allocation for imports from Australia of gluten flour during the eighth period is increased from 100 per cent to 200 per cent of the value of licences granted for the importation of the commodity from all sources during 1942.

World’s Fastest Aircraft The North American Aviation Company Iqis recently announced that the War Department has allowed it to disclose that the Mustang lighter is the world's fastest aeroplane, capable of a speed of more than, 425 miles an hour, with a tactical radius of action of 500 miles, and a ceiling of more than 40.000 feet.
