A GOOD EFFORT
£66/2/5 FROM STREET STALL PAEROA LADIES’ CROQUET CLUB In spite of rationing of butter and sugar and the fact that at present little produce is available the street stall held in Paeroa on Friday by the Paeroa Ladies’ Croquet Club in aid of the 1944 All Purposes Patriotic Appeal was very successful. The amount realised for the fund from, the stall was £66 2s sd. Energetic work by a willing band of ladies led by Mrs W. Barclay (president) and Mrs S. Oliver (secretary), was largely responsible for the good effort while the excellent support from the general public was much appreciated.
