VERY DISAPPOINTED
FARMERS AND NEW PRICES RESOLUTION FROM NGATEA “The dairy producers of this country have always given of their best in the face of great difficulties which could have been removed by sympathetic handling and understanding and that the new season’s prices announced have caused great disappointment in that they are not sufficient to hurdle the great costs of wartime production. They are a barrier to the patriotic endeavours of farmers who realise the importance of production and we ask that the New Zealand producer be paid the same as that received by Australia,” was a resolution passed at a large meeting of farmers held in Ngatea recently. The above resolution was passed after lengthy discussion on the new season’s dairy and pig meat prices.
