Mrs Troughear of Whitianga, had a week-end house party for Easter, including her daughter and husband, Mr and Mrs Lube of Auckland, Miss Lillias .Steadman and her mother of Auckland, Miss A. Price and her sister of Thames and Miss A. Robinson of Hamilton. Mrs E. Chote recently visited her mother, Mrs K. White, of Whitianga. Mrs Averill and daughter of Hawke’s Bay are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. Simpson, Mercury Bay. Capt. and Mrs Pyatt visited Mr and Mrs Stocker for the Easter week-end. Mrs Pyatt is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Stocker. The young couple were recently married in Auckland when Capt. Pyatt returned from the M.E.F. after being badly wounded. He left with the First Echelon. Mr J. Bryce of Matamata and his sister, Mrs J. Forster, visited their ■brother, Mr Stan Bryce who is a patient’ at the Mercury Bay Hospital, ■but making a good recovery now.' Mr and Mrs Eric Worden of Mercury Bay have returned home after a visit to Auckland. Miss Pat Flury is a guest of Mr and Mrs Eric Worden, of Mercury Bay. Mrs H. Hinds, Ann and John,, spent, the Easter week-end with her parents, Mr and Mrs H. M. Simpson of Dunsdale, Mercury Bay. Miss Edith Simpson was the guest of her sister, Mrs J. Jackman, Mercury Bay. Mr and Mrs McDonald were visitors to Whitianga for the Easter 'holidays. Miss Florence Hamilton of Auckland is visiting Whenuakite’ and Whitianga. Mrs Hugh Warner and Carol of Mt. Roskill, are staying with Mrs Fred. Lee of Whitianga. Mrs C. L. Smith and Robin, of Whitianga are holidaying at Castor Bay. Mr and Mrs E. Keoghan of Remuera, who have been staying with Mr and Mrs F. Lee of Whitianga, have taken up residence in Whitianga. Mrs J. W. Smith and Mrs Foster of Whitianga, were recent visitors to Auckland. Mr and Mrs Stan Davis were the guests of Mrs R. A. Smith to attend Miss Mary Simpson’s wedding at Mercury Bay. Pte. D. P. Stronach, on furlough, is visiting his father, Mr D. Stronach, of Kuaotunu. Mr and Mrs Pitts, Morrinsville, and Miss Ellis, Herne Bay, Auckland, are on holiday at Whitianga.
