GOOD OFFERING OF CATTLE BACONERS MAKE TO £4/14/Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Co., report that at their Paeroa sale on •Monday for a good offering of cattle the inquiry was keen. Pigs were yarded in good numbers and sold well, prime baconers again making £4 14s. The sheep entry was smaller and sold at recent rates. They quote: — Forward lambs, to 17s 3d; medium store lambs, 9s 2d to 10s 9d; stole 2-th. wethers to 19s 3d: aged ewes, 8s 3d to Ils 6d. Fat heifers, to £7 Is; fat cows, £6 4s to £6 14s; medium fat cows, £5 2s to £5 17s; boner cows, £4 16s to £4 19s; medium, £4 2s to £4 8s; light, £3 7s to £3 12s; store cows, £2 15s to £3 ss; bulls, £4 15s to £6 15s; store steers., £6 4s to £6.155; smaller, £4 2s 6d to £4 14s; P.A. and Hereford heifers, £4 15s to £5; P.A. and -Hereford cows, to £4 15s; medium Jersey heifer calves, £3 15s to £3 17s; smaller do., £2 5s to £3 2s 6d. ■Dairy heifers, £8 10s to £9; others,
