Damaged By Lightning
“ The damaging of nine transformers due to lightning last month has placed a strain on our resources, particularly as materials necessary for their repair are proving difficult to obtain. In the circumstances, it would be wise to have orders placed for about another dozen,” reported the chief engineer, Mr N. G. McLeou, to Tuesday’s meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board.
