GUILD DANCE
HARVEST FESTIVAL SALE
SUCCESSFUL TURUA EVENING
The Turua Ladies’ Guild of the Church of England held a dance and sale of goods from the Harvest Festival in the Turua Buildings on Monday, March 21. Several novelty, dances were much appreciated, the winners on two occasions being Miss G. Fox and Mr T. Clark. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs J. Thrupp and Mrs E. Clark and Mr .Sutton was M.C. Mr J. Newman with the assistance of Mr R. B. Madgwick and Mr A. H. Sutton, auctioned the many and varied goods to a very responsive number of buyers. The Rev. David thanked the people for their attendance and cheerful buying. The ladies served a dainty supper after the sale of goods and dancing continued until a late hour.
